Stevenage Borough Football Club
Lowly Chester City we’re today played off the park and we’re clearly second best in all departments against an industrious Stevenage Borough outfit.
The Blues huffed and puffed but didn’t really carve out a golden opportunity to score a goal throughout the entire ninety minutes. We were far too busy hoofing it in to the air, or in to the stands, or in to empty space or to one of their players.
We’d have plenty of the ball in their half but do absolutely nothing with it. Then, as a reminder of the gulf between the two sides Stevenage would counter attack and force Danby in to making a save.
Had it not been for our shot-stopper we certainly would not have won on Tuesday and we certainly would not have escaped with a 1-0 defeat today. We can’t even take throw-ins properly sometimes!!
Anyway, we are truely truely abysmal and I’m dreading the impending defeat next sunday. I know that Wrexham are going through a sticky spell as well, but they surely can’t be as bad as us.
Said it before and I’ll say it again, we’d go down even if we’d started on zero points.
