Mansfield Town 4 Chester City 0
Morell Maison’s struggling Blues outfit were totally outplayed at Field Mill on saturday as Luke Jones scored his first two goals for the home side to set the Stags on course for a 4-0 thumping over sorry City.
City are literally teetering on the brink, facing the threat of being wound up in the High Court on Wednesday over an unpaid tax debt and they were buried inside little more than half an hour.
Jones scored twice with headers before teenage namesake Ben Jones turned Ryan Williams’ corner into his own net.
And Jake Speight struck from the edge of the box to wrap up the points.
